Emily Bowen
Painting Artist
Emily is an artist based in Newcastle, New South Wales, working primarily in oil and acrylic paint, depicting many subjects in a bold and painterly manner. Emily studied Fine Art at Newcastle Art School and Newcastle University obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Art and a Masters in Education. After stints in teaching and various other occupations, Emily has returned more fully to artmaking in recent years. "I love the physicality of paint and seeing it’s qualities expressed on a surface in a painterly manner often with visible brushstrokes and a varied colour palette."
