Bonnie Larden

Painting Artist

NSW - Northern Rivers

Bonnie Larden is a self-taught, award winning professional artist based in Ballina, New South Wales. Raised on a cattle ranch in South Texas, USA, she developed a lifelong love for animals. She initially pursued a career in veterinary science, completing a degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University, and subsequently worked as a science teacher for eight years. In 2017, she transitioned to a full-time artistic career, bringing together her passion for animals with her interests in creativity and interior design. In refining a distinctive artistic style, Bonnie drew inspiration from two of her greatest personal influences. Her work has been exhibited in galleries throughout the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, and she is represented by Australian online galleries, with collectors across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Bonnie has been a finalist in the Lethbridge 20,000 Small Scale Art Award and the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize. She was awarded the People’s Choice Award at the Coraki Art Prize in both 2024 and 2025, and also received the People’s Choice Award at the Plateau Art Prize in 2025.
