Anne Toovey
Painting Artist
Anne is a Queensland-based artist working primarily in acrylic on canvas. Her paintings draw inspiration from storm light, shifting skies, atmospheric change, and the movement of water. Anne creates layered works that move between landscape and abstraction. Through expressive surfaces and evolving forms, her practice captures moments of tension, movement, and quiet transformation. Anne is formally trained with a Master of Creative Arts. She has recently resumed painting after an extended break. In November 2025 Anne was awarded Best of Show in the Ipswich Art Awards.
